Snack

I use snack as a time to teach manners, as well as a chance for the children to rest and get refocused for the rest of the day. We have community snack and it is important that all students feel that they have shared snack with the rest of the class.

Please try to send one package of healthy snack each month. Any size helps! Some favorites are Ritz Crackers, graham crackers and fruit leathers. Fresh produce and dairy products are also welcome.

We cannot serve food that has been prepared at home and due to our water situation, we are unable to wash produce at school.  For this reason, it will be important that the produce is packaged.  Baby carrots, lunch size apples and tangerines are good options.
