Appropriate clothes and shoes are important every day!

We have PE on  Monday and Wednesday.  All  students need to wear athletic shoes in order to participate in PE. Please make sure girls wear shorts or leggings whenever they are wearing dresses or skirts.  (This is a great idea all the time!)

During dance, which will be on Thursday, it is very important that girls do not wear tights. We take our shoes and socks off in dance and it is very unsafe to dance in tights!

As you know, it rains a lot in Portland. We go outside for recess in the rain, unless it is a downpour! Please dress your child in warm clothes that can get wet and dirty! Hats or coats with a hood are a plus on any day!

It is very helpful for each child to have a change of clothes in their locker for the inevitable fall in the mud on the soccer field or milk spill in the cafeteria. This saves a phone call home for new clothes or your child sitting in wet or muddy clothes for the rest of the day.
